Daily Leader Tip: 5 pillars of Emotional Intelligence
In Leadership, your Emotional Intelligence is absolutely critical.
5 pillars you should know about and be aware of.

Daniel Goleman called out 5 key areas:
1️⃣ 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲ness — Your ability to recognise your own emotions and moods, and the impact this has on your people.
2️⃣ 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 — The ability to control and regulate your own emotional impulses or moods. An individual may be completely unreasonable and rude to you, but as a leader, you need to be able to respond in the right professional way.
3️⃣ 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘆 — Your ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes and see things through their eyes. Your people are going to have a rough time during their career, it’s called life. You need to be there to support them.
4️⃣ 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 — This doesn't mean being the life and soul of the party. But someone who sees value in establishing common ground and strong meaningful relationships with people. It’s a healthy way to lead your life.
5️⃣ 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 — A general drive to improve things, upgrade your own skillset and be a better you without extrinsic motivation.
