Leader Tip: Be the master copy
Whatever field you’re in there is no reason why you cannot be the gold standard.
Leaders go first.
They go first by setting the example and setting the tone.
How do I do this?
➡️ Get your hands dirty - as a Leader you cannot always be on the slide lines, you sometimes need to get out onto the playing field and support your team.
➡️ Watch what you say - actions do speak louder than words. Be mindful of what you say, to whom and who is listening.
➡️ Take responsibility - It doesn’t matter if one of your team members messed up or you did. Good leaders take responsibility for their teams.
➡️ Integrity - is all about doing the right thing, even when no one is looking. It’s about keeping your word, following up when you say you will and owning drops when they occur.
➡️ Being vulnerable - speaking up when something is off base and admitting when we don’t have all the answers.
➡️ Time off - set clear expectations that time off is for having time off, and you should behave the same way.
Be the master copy that you want to be replicated throughout your organisation.
